Cotswold Class

Welcome to our class webpage!

We are thrilled to start an exciting year with our class of 30 fantastic children, supported by our two wonderful Teaching Assistants.   Here is some key information to keep you informed about our weekly activities and learning focus for this term:

Swimming: Every Monday, we'll be making a splash in our swimming lessons.

PE: Get ready to move on Wednesdays during our Physical Education sessions (please come to school in your PE kit)

Wednesdays: We are lucky enough to have RE with Mrs Butcher and French with Mrs Hodge.

Friday Fun: Fridays are packed with activities! We will practice and test our spellings  after celebrating our achievements in our special golden apple assembly.  We are also improving our times table knowledge in our times table tests.   Who will make it to number club this year?

This Half Term’s Learning Focus:

History: We’ll be learning about British heroes.  We will explore what they did to change the society in which they lived and how that impacts the life that we live today.

Science:
Year 3: We will be learning about light and shadows. We will investigate light sources and find out how shadows move throughout the day. In the second half of the term we will move onto looking at how plants grow.
Year 4: We are learning about sound, investigating how vibrations travel through different materials, how pitch and volume can be changed, and how the human ear enables us to hear.

We're all looking forward to a fantastic term full of learning and discovery!
