On Thursday 13th December, ‘Skippy John’ came to our school for a skipping workshop.
He worked with a class at a time to teach them some amazing skipping skills.
Avon were learning how to bounce correctly, as when you’re skipping—less is more and all you need to do is bounce! They had a go at skipping in a massive rope! It was such fun and some children were even able to do star jumps and spins inside the rope!
Malvern and Cotswold were learning how to skip with their own rope and even started to learn how to do star jumps with a rope!
Severn class were learning how to 'run skip' (just like the boxers!) it was very, very tricky!
We all had a fantastic day and loved learning new skills.
The children had the opportunity to purchase a skipping rope and we had a special assembly at the end of the day to show off some of our skills!
