At Offenham CE First School, our Christian vision shapes all that we do. We recognise the dignity and worth of every individual as uniquely created and valued. Our aim is to enable every child and adult to flourish academically, socially, spiritually, and emotionally.
We believe that strong partnerships between school, parents/carers, and children are essential in living out our vision. This agreement reflects our shared commitment to nurturing wisdom, hope, community, and dignity.
The Responsibilities of the School
- Provide a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every child is valued and encouraged to flourish.
- Deliver a broad, balanced, and ambitious curriculum that enables all pupils to develop wisdom, knowledge, and skills for life.
- Promote positive relationships, with everyone working for the common good of all, and rooted in our Christian vision which can be seen in action through the ‘fruits’ we grow.
- Support pupils’ spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development, encouraging reflection and a sense of purpose.
- Foster hope, aspiration, and resilience so that all children believe they can succeed.
- Work in partnership with families, keeping parents/carers informed about progress and wellbeing.
- Provide opportunities for safe and responsible use of technology.
- Ensure all members of the school community are treated with dignity and respect.
The Responsibilities of Parents/Carers
- Uphold and support the Christian vision of the school.
- Encourage love, kindness, respect and responsibility.
- Ensure regular and punctual attendance.
- Communicate openly with the school about any concerns.
- Support learning at home.
- Attend meetings to support your child’s progress.
- Promote positive behaviour.
- Support safe use of technology.
- Treat all members of the school community with dignity and respect.
The Responsibilities of the Child
- Be loving and respectful, encouraging others to be the best they can be as well as trying to be the best I can be.
- Treat everyone with dignity and equity.
- Work hard and take pride in learning – demonstrating perseverance and resilience when things are tough.
- Behave safely and responsibly.
- Reflect on my actions.
- Use the internet safely.
- Help make the school a welcoming community where everyone can flourish and grow.
